The temperature calibration plate is a modified M2 microfluidic plate containing a small temperature probe embedded in the cell culture region. The probe is designed for readout in the "reference" field of the Bioptech's objective heater system. The calibration plate ensures the cells are exposed to the correct temperature, and compensates for variations due to objective lens types, room temperature, and focal distances.
